Hello,
I have a coin were the coin and its rim are in different color .the rims are yellow and the coin is dark brown .Is it normal for this coin?

It's a nickel-brass coin with typical toning. The rims are raised so the tone rubs off first there.

I've found several of these with my metal detector - they always go dark brown when buried. Maybe this one was buried and then dug up and returned to circulation. This explains the normal yellow brass color showing through on the rim and the thrift flowers, the highest points of the coin.
