I have seen multiple cancelled dies used by the US Mint to strike proof coins that were taken out of service after fewer than 4,000 strikes (some fewer than 2,000) due to some issue. So, it's at least possible that more than one pair of dies was used by the RCM to strike this coin. Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. All rights reserved. That's why I never jump on coins offered by the RCM for (Low Certificate of Authenticity). Means nothing to me. To some folks they just like the lower number. john100 Pillar of the Community Canada 5324 Posts	Posted 09/20/2019 12:53 pm A few months ago first time got invited to a MC event at Fort York, kind of cool had a chance to meet the new president along with a few production bigwigs, asked a few questions regarding NCLT production a few tidbits. Dies are now made from CAD machines so most likely all dies are perfect and the colour coins are third party to a US company, most of the collectors at this event just don't care that what they purchase will instantly be discounted, the other news from the reps were they were going to keep lowering the mintage and no more coin a day releases.
