I'm not sure, but it looks like platting bubbles. If it's just a bubble, it may flex under pressure from a wooden toothpick. It really seems too wide and smooth for a die crack. Let's see what the real experts say.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

Thank you, Its a well circulated coin, so I don't mind trying that. I use my daily change as lerning tools. It would be wonderful to find something unique or valuable, but unexpected to say the least. I think I should wait for all the input before attempting anything first. I dont trust me. Lol

I think it's just a very well placed nearly Linear Plating Bubble.
Errers and Varietys.

So is that when the mix the metals to make the planchets or a coating that is put on the coin? Is this type of damage concidered an error or PMD? I apologize for all the questions, but I am truly curious. Not only that, also the more I know the less of a fool I make of myself.

Die damage, but not a die crack. Something got caught in the striking chamber that damaged the die. Once damage is done to a die the result shows up on coins struck by that die.

It is a linear trail gas bubble. When the blank gets plated, debris and oils can get trapped between the zinc core and the copper plating. John1

Thank you both, John1 for your ability to explain clearly and simplify allof this. I apteciate it so much. From a person that can call glue on a coin from a photo, I pay attention to what you say, sir. Moxking; thank you for being kind and so accepting of me. You are on of the folks that make me feel at home here. Y'all are wonderful.
