Hello everyone!

So, today I found a 1957-d Lincoln Wheat cent that had a double earlobe! It is my first double earlobe find, so I am pretty excited about it. And to top it off the coin is in really good condition!

New discovery? Looks enlarged in size to me, but I'll have Tanman take a look at it, for you.

I am hoping that Pareidolia isn't playing tricks on me.

Pareidolia got me, lol.

I don't see anything on this one. You might just be seeing glare from the lighting, it can make a sort of optical illusion when the lighting is too harsh.

Really? I turned the light down and it is still there and I found a couple more in the same roll that had it. After I read your comment I went and got another 1957-d I had but it doesn't have it. Could it just be some slight Machine Doubling or something? But shadows are really good at playing tricks on you too.

You guys know a lot more than me though and I trust what you guys say... Oh, well back to the drawing board. lol

At least it is still a pretty coin!

@Tanman - how do you adjust for lighting issues?

Only use one light source, and wrap tissue paper around it to diffuse the light. It takes some experimenting and messing around but eventually you can jerry-rig a good setup.

Slight MD is definitely possible but hard to say for sure with the bright light.
