Thanks for looking.

Do not collect banknotes but this came with some coins.

The edge has been cut off but the Temple of Heaven watermark is there. Any ideas what it is ?

Looks weird - the borders are all wonky. See this to compare: http://www.banknote.ws/COLLECTION/c.../CIN0081.htm
Maybe someone was trying their luck at making it something different and gave up.

Sorry should have said the borders have been cut off not the edge in the first post.

Is it an error or possibly a test note ? or just a forgery ?

I have one of these, though with borders (albeit rough). I think they are both "remainders" however both seem to have been circulated judging by the condition. Your example and mine are the only ones I've so far encountered of the 1937 series.

I've just remembered that I wrote an article on this http://asiamoney.weebly.com/remainders.html

Xavierz27 - Wow! A great website you have there- I just perused it and love it! I found out a whole lot more about my notes, and lots of other info to go over still!
