I'm going to paste my previous text from the original post below, hoping that I might get further feedback from those who replied or new feedback from others. You can hopefully clearly see that the bottom lettering really does come up and wrap around the top of both the 9 and the 6. So does that mean it could be a
DDO, but not the "big $$$"
DDO like someone commented about my last post? Are there authentic DDOs from this coin that are worth something, but not as much as the really obvious ones that include huge doubling on the word Liberty? Anyone have any clue on this? It doesn't seem like a simple machine error if the letters below are thick and curling around the top letters, or is this even possible when there is machine misalignment? Okay, I'll paste the precious message below now. Thanks everyone!
Hoping to get some feedback on this 1969 S possible
DDO. I've looked into the difference between machine error and an actual
DDO and if you look closely it does seem that the letters from underneath aren't just a flat impression below, but they are thick, even coming up to wrap around the top letters in some areas. Also, this is the case with the mint mark too, which might be an issue, as I've read that the mint mark was added separately for these coins. But couldn't this possibly be a
DDO as well as an RPM? Anyway, I know this would be an unbelievable find if it's for real, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I'll include more pics soon, and I'll add for now that there is only slight doubling in other areas, although not like I've seen on other 1969 S
DDO examples where the LIBERTY doubling can be seen "from across the room." Appreciate any feedback everyone. Cheers!
