With the date all but missing and Liberty rather faint I am wondering if this has the signs of a Struck Through Grease issue. Lincoln himself and the reverse look rather sharp. Thank you as always.

Looks like possibly Struck Through Grease by the date but what is the weird most likely non grease impression across Lincolns face and head too similar symmetrical repetition seems like a pattern to it or something? Struck through or with something more than grease is what I see.
