My eyes see a coin that has wear on the high points as well as having a weak strike. Without the coin available in hand for inspection, I am unable to say how much of each factor is contributing to the overall state of the coin.
As an example of what I am talking about...Check out the Native American's hand on his bow, it lacks finger detail which is generally the case on weakly struck Oregon Trail coins. It appears, however, that the hand area has also been subject to metal loss.
From the images, I would place the coin in the upper XF / lower AU range.
IMO, the coin's toning, etc. creates a visual aesthetic that would not appeal to most collectors, however, and therefore reduces its marketability some.
In any case, the price that you paid for it was below the coin's current market value. Congrats!
