The coin looks MS to me, just some ugly toning. I'd guess MS-63 on this one.
Rest in Peace

In person it is definitely MS, full luster, yes, just toned. Picked up this one and 14 others for $2.50 each at a local antique store, most of them are double die varieties as well.

First off on the obverse looking through the tone I do not see any nicks or marks on the obverse. On the reverse I see two areas that stand out to me, the first is the dark dot to the left of the dome and the other is the break in the steps under the third pillar. With the dark toning around the eye it is hard to make out if it is a double eye but if you say it is when holding it ok. Very nice coin! To me looks to be pushing towards MS65*

Toning is dark and IMHO a bit unattractive. It has a series of gouges along the face that I think will hold it back quite a bit gradewise. I'd say mid-range MS-62 but the toning might hold it back to MS-61 territory.
