Hello,

I was recently given this coin by an old friend before he passed away. I would like to know if this is an authentic or a counterfeit coin. If authentic, could give me an estimate on what it's value is? I appreciate your help. Thank you!

That is one of the most common Chinese fakes that we see around here unfortunately.

No offense but it would've helped more to have posted a 1795 dollar of the proper type. GMS5 got the right type but the wrong variety, the fake is based on the B-14 off-centered bust variety.
