Appears to be a touch of toning which can occur with the slightest touch of a human hand or a myriad of other contact types that would stain the surface.

I dont know what else I can say to be more clear because I'm not lying when I stated that I just opened this roll I have gloves my fingers as always I droped it on a Cloth and put my homeade scope for all u people paying for fancy magnifiers u getting ripped off I'm tell everybody a secret and listen cause I'm not lying take a small flashlight lens if u have a small like about the size of a quarter then take any old medicine bottle top example zyrtec allergy are the best imo they deeper the better then trace outline of lens on top carefully cut out make it too small then slowly bore it out till that lens fits tight hold bam u got a 50 or 60 dollar legit magnifier takes amazing pics. Noe back to my topic again the coin hasnt even been breathed on I'm not sure what it is. Unless it got toned at the mint.

with moxking, it's a spender normal coin with maybe some toning. Also you really shouldn't be giving advice to people , especially in that condescending way, on how to photograph or magnify coins. With that setup you won't catch much it's like CRH in the dark....

The photos show what you're talking about, but It's hard to tell what's happened to the coin. I've taken cents out of 5000 count mint sewn bags with FULL, dark purple fingerprints on coins that haven't seen daylight for 40 years. The coin you have could have been touched by someone at the mint or at the coin rolling service. It could have happened anywhere along the way from the point it was copper plated until it reached you.

The photos make it look like Lincoln is about the tell a scary Halloween story with a flashlight held under his chin.
