One of my friends has a coin collection that belonged to one of her great great grandparents that I'm helping her sort through, consolidate and generally tell them since none of them are collectors. This coin stood out to me because it was sitting in an album raw, this fact alone makes me want to get a second opinion just to be sure it's legit. Sorry if the pictures aren't great.

Any and all opinions are welcome.

I have to say G06 details with past cleaning. I like to see at least 3 letters in LIBERTY for VG.

Obverse pic is not sharp enough to grade from.

coins normally wear evenly on both sides. not always but normally they do and when they don't they are fairly close in grade. the difference here in obv & rev leads me to believe a weakly struck obv. I agree with the possible cleaning and in any case would most likely receive a details designation. I'm going to net it at VG10

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll try to get some better photos especially of the obverse.

Someone mentioned to grade disparity between the obverse and reverse, I didn't notice it in hand so it could be a weak strike. But this coin has also been sitting in an album for at least 25 years so that could explain it?

Here's another picture of the Obverse, hope this one gives you a little more information.

I'll take a stab at VG-08. Is this a true representation of the color?

T-BOP, I don't tend to net grade, especially when the main grading points are worn, but the new pics of the obverse will permit me to go to VG details. Wish I could go higher, but I just can't. I see where you're coming from, though.
