I have gotten a little discouraged about selling. I have tried discounting different guides, but only the smaller stuff or almost below melt price seems to sell. Last week I decided to do some "stats" on how many times a listing was viewed compared to the number of replies. Not perfect because some people use the "replies" for other than buying/selling comments, and on the other side some look several times :)
This is one complete page of each area.
AUCTION section : 57 replies for 1632 views 3.5%
For SALE unsold yet: 78 replies for 7227 Views 2.3%
For SALE ~ SOLD! : 171 sold for 5594 views 2.94%
perhaps we need a thread where one can submit their ad, ( like the grading forum) and people can say if it is too high and why, ugly. no photos, etc, so the seller or auctioning person can optimize their chance. I will gladly submit one of mine if there is interest. I know people on the forum buys a lot of coins on
ebay, why not here? Poor goods, higher price, better presentation?
People put on want lists, but generally don't indicate how much they would pay. Good or not? Why?
