Was clearing a roll of 1943 coins that were stripped and/or replated when this one popped out. Well done indeed! Not sure if the others were slated for this treatment but whoever did this one was good. Yes it is magnetic.

Thanks for posting TB.

Like you say, it is well done and knowing it is fake helps to see "markers" for things we see on a lot of '43 steel cents.
A)Black spots in the field behind Lincolns head which I've see on regular replated cents as well.
B)The small incuse areas on the reverse from die damage or a struck through debris. (I swear I've seen these exact incuse areas before)
C) The little "trough" behind and profiling Lincoln's bust
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Yeah, I post the fakes to show what they look like, and this one would make a good shot of it if the buyer didn't have a scale or magnet handy.

Stoneman! Just sent you a PM. And I love that old ticker getting some juice when I see something like this. But I dragged it out... Finished the roll which was useless, looked over the whole thing for metal showing through, and then went first for the scale instead of the magnet. At 2.64g the story was told, but I still put a magnet to the edge just to be sure. I don't like hitting the face of something this nice with a magnet as they really pop onto it and don't want to scratch it.
