I believe it's the remains of one of the peculiar double-sestertii of Postumus, struck at his mint in Trier, Germany. Wildwinds page of one such type. The reverse legend would be some variant of IMP C M CASS LAT POSTVMVS P F AVG.
Quite scarce in reasonable condition (a couple of hundred dollars seems to be the usual going rate). However, this one, as you've noticed, has a spooned edge, and the reverse is flat - there's nothing left to identify the exact type. It could, of course, be a copy... the damage makes it hard to tell for sure.
