Thank you very much, another curious question does copper turns white-ish when they get environmental damage? it's the heaviest penny I have seen so far it weighs 3.18 to 3.20 grams. Just curious and I am very thankful for I learned something new.
It could have been plated at some point, this would account for it's off colour and slightly increased weight. All environmental damage is different, so it's difficult to link a particular colour to it. The good news it's still worth 1 cent! and to the CCF!
