Hi there everyone; I am bringing our other found coin from our ghost town adventures to you for help with identification. I have given it a shot to learn what this is and I am at a loss.

We would greatly appreciate your knowledge and insight as curiosity has been gnawing.

Thank you very much and a beautiful Thanksgiving to you.

Unfortunately, your coin is not a genuine Chinese cash coin. It is a machine-struck replica, made for ceremonial purposes (eg. traditional Chinese funeral rites). Do you see the raised dots, all over it? Those are intended to reproduce the sandy background effect from a genuine cast coin.

The coin it copies is a Chinese cash of the Tongzhi emperor (reigned 1861-1875). This replica is of much more modern date, probably second half of the 20th century and could have been made pretty much anywhere in Asia.
