looks to be an ex jewelry piece. I see solder damage at 3 0'clock, and 9 o'clock.

I think it may be impact damage on the legends in those positions.
Damage nevertheless.

A picture of the edge corresponding to those positions should confirm, one way or another.

Does not appear to be holed and plugged.

Due to the damage, the value would be reduced to around 20% of an undamaged example of the same grade of
VF.

Apologies for the spelling mistakes earlier. My keypad went mad last night. I meant to say what do you think it's worth or better to say, would anyone be able to guide me in the right direction as I am struggling to find an appropriate value to this coin?

can you take a better picture of the area with 'A' in regina, it appears to be damage.

Once we determine condition, you can get an idea of value..

Here is some auctions that have sold of the same date.

Thanks for the ebay records.
Unfortunately, the Godless Florins that have sold
show no evidence of repair after damage.
Important to factor this consideration into the price.

This is an example of a theoretically valuable coin that is badly damaged. As a general rule, such damage will slash a coin's value, by anywhere from half to a tenth of its undamaged value. In the case of this coin, where there are plenty of surviving examples of undamaged coins, I would think the damage would significantly reduce the value. Undamaged, it would be a US$200 coin. But damaged like this, maybe $40 or $50 if you're lucky? Current silver melt value for it is only US$5.70, so that's an absolute minimum.

The only "demand" there would be for a coin like this is if someone wanted an example of the coin type but didn't have the budget for an undamaged example. Unfortunately, the reason this coin is expensive and sought after is because of the unusually brief obverse legend (which omits the usual D:G and F:D abbreviations, hence the term "Godless"), so collectors will be even less forgiving than if it were the reverse that were damaged. Or maybe an artist would buy it and turn it back into a brooch.
