Not really my area but I believe this is a James I British gold Crown, Second Issue, S2624. Mintmark appears to be Coronet, making it 1607 to 1609. A lot of condition issues - wear and clipping, and what appears to be the remains of a mounting ring at the top. The book (2018) gives a value of £300 in Fine, but this is less than Fine - so somewhere between that and the gold value.
