Hello and thank you in advance for your tolerance of how dumb I must seem. I founded and ran an Energy Software ERP for 32 years so you think these questions I will ask will be technical, observant and well stated. Sure...

10 years ago I was diagnosed with early onset Parkinsons. I'm healthy and happy but golf has ended and Sports have too many things to remember:) I figured that in Coins there were only five things to remember pennies, nickles, dimes, quarters and dollars. Right? Even I could remember with a cheat sheet... Did you know that the Red Book alone has right at 1,502 pages? Oops I bet you did - I on the other hand did not:).

I am a gambler, so I thought - buy unseen coins. The long lost are ALWAYS there - right?

I bet the max. And I love shiny things - like my cars and jets used to be - fast and pretty.

I'm going to post my first in the Morgan dollar forum wherever I may find it. Please search me out. I got a 10 lb bag of Binion Hoard silver. Heeeellllppppp:) I also have beautiful 40's and 50's wheat coins that I know would be valuable if that was all they minted... I know they are worth a fortune just like they say on the videos at YouTube:) but no one else seems to want the 1 of 43,000,000,000,000 coin that I have - or something like that.

Grading for Dummies, I know... Yet for all the reasons learning by reading is good I find asking for help more compatible for my situation. Hey Google ain't smart enough yet. Give her a year though.

Sorry for the "open mike" introduction. It's late and my shine is on tonight.:)

I say thank you and please as my Grandmother (mean old lady) and parents taught me. If I forget to type it or can't type well that day, please read my posts just as if it is there and let's agree it is imlpied in all my actions and speech..

Thanks much for your patience.

Remember. There may be no spoon for NEO in the Matrix BUT the glass is ALWAYS overflowing.

Life is a beautiful thing. I don't complain about mine anymore anyway.

My name is Kevin S
I am in Colorado outside of Denver.

God Bless America

Kevin,

If you can understand ERP, you will make an excellent anal retentive numismatists. (Notice, I typed numismatist, not coin collector.)

If you were me, you would start with a 19th century USA type set. Which would lead you to early American copper coinage and colonials.
