Dear Fellow CCF members,

My friend asked me this question: what is the best book to buy regarding banknotes issued during the American Civil War? I want one that gives you the history of the banks that produced notes during that period rather than one that just lists serial numbers and values.

Thank you for your recommendations in advance,

Carrigna

PS It might be a good idea for me to make a good Christmas present for him as well!

I highly recommend this book. It is worth every single penny.

Yellow88,

Many thanks for the links!

I did not realise it would be that expensive.

I think I will give him an Amazon gift card to help him out with the cost. I would have gotten him this book at other time when there are not too many expenses.

Surely, there are more books like this out there?

Hope someone could chip in!

Many thanks for your help in advance,

Carrigna
