This is the Newbie giving yuns an update on my first
DDO Washington quarter!
It looks like I may have a FS-25-1943-103(016.7). Here in this sub-forum you certainly confirmed for me that is was indeed a 1943
DDO quarter and should be sent in for grading.
I have just received confirmation from PCGS today that they have received my registered USPS package and that it is now currently being graded by them. As you can imagine, I am waiting with bated breath to see what grade it comes back as. After receipt, I will photograph that slab and post the pictures of my $7 wonder coin as a reply to this topic.
Now for my equivalency question on this grading phase I am a total newbie on:
CONECO lists my $7 FS-25-1943-103(016.7) as a 1943 quarter "DDO-011"
NGC seems to use a
THIRD different nomenclature system to grade their die variety coins as, and it uses "VP-XXX" to describe their die varieties. What system uses the "VP" designation?
Is there a website or anything that translates any given die variety coin into all three systems, which seems to be the FS system, the CONECO system, and whatever the third (to me still unknown) system is using "VP"? God forbid that there is a fourth die variety system I need to learn. I want to learn how to "speak" in all three die variety nomenclatures.
Thanks for your response in advance.
