Can anybody help on identifying.
It is rather small 14mm in diameter.
On what I think the obverse has a spear head with C E.
On the reverse there appears to be three trident shaped objects.
The coin itself is rather black - the camera does me a favor and overexposes
Any help would be appreciated.

The closest I've found so far is a couple of Greek cities:

Polyrhenion, a city in western Crete. It's not a perfect match, but the design and style appear similar; This one, particularly.

This one from Selge on the south coast of Turkey is a better match for the spear-side, and the letters of the city (SELGE) match what we see on this coin (SE), but the reverse isn't as good a match.

I have continued searching and still have not found a match.
THANX Sap - for the info - maybe that puts us in the same park!
I guess this begs the question - should I request assistance from the 'experts'?
I have never made such a request before. I do realize that there are services available for ancients that will do the attribution. Does anybody know who and how much they charge for this service? And should I do it at all or just keep it as an unknown?

From what I read on FORVM and elsewhere, David Sear's Ancient Coin Certification Service is the most reputable amongst ancients collectors. He's not infallible, but he's better than the TPG slabbers. Basic fee: $40, add $10 for a deluxe certificate that's got some historical background story for the coin and the city or king that issued it, add $25 for "priority service" to jump the queue.

I'm not in America, so I wouldn't do it - shipping and insurance costs would increase to the point where it would only be worthwhile to do it for very valuable coins - so valuable that I'd be extremely uncomfortable about shipping them to America and back.
