Found this for sale, raw. Is it a legit proof coin? If so, any guesses on grade? Both pics same coin. Thanks.

It's a legit proof. Probably PF63, but I wouldn't pay above PF60 money for it due to the spotting.

Thanks GC! It's hard to tell, I was thinkin this "spotting" is just a micro layer of toning (aka tarnish) starting to form on the surfaces.

I see just a few scuffs/scratches, otherwise fields seem clean. Scratch on lower bust, scuff on phrygian cap btw wing-top and hairline, and small scratch on fasces tassle left of 'D' on reverse.

Not so sure I'd call it toning or even tarnish. The reverse looks like the accumulation may be PVC related, if so don't pay over $90.

I'd say impaired proof (mishandled).

Do you think this coin for around $50-$60 would be a good buy?

To me, it has a plated look. I don't like those fields. They seem pitted looking.

I'm pretty confident that this is a proof. However, I would pass on it. This one doesn't have a lot of eye appeal IMO.
