Hello all I'm new around here. Just found out that a 1943 Liberty Half Dollar Iv'e had for awhile now is fake. It was set in this roped pendant it looked lose so I put a pin knife in and popped out the back of the coin was blank, I mean looked like a slug. I just wonder if this kind of thing has happened to anyone else?

That doesn't necessarily mean the coin is fake..it's a low value coin so it's quite possible that it was sanded down to properly fit in the piece of jewelry.
Feel free to call me Will.
