This forum has been a great resource for me. Just got back into coin collecting after my father in law left me an old silver coin a 1944 2.5 gulden minted in Denver for the Netherlands island nation of Curacao. Read a lot about the history of the US minting coins for other nations and then the efforts of the mints to save sovereign of those nations during war times. I love the historical things you learn collecting coins. Also quite proud of my countries service to others in time of needs like this.
So I broke out my collections which I hadn't touched in almost 20 years. I filled many folders up and completed quite a few. I then got into halfs and dollars quite a bit a scored quite well with coin roll hunting small dollars.
My goal when I started was to just get every business strike for circulation from pocket and roll hunting 65 and up. 1c - Dollars.
I still haven't met that goal but got real close. Now I got the bug and paying for coins, oh the horror! But enjoying it and learning/collecting history.
