1948 S Lincoln Wheat Cent / LWC I Believe This May Be A New Doubled Die Obverse / DDO

Jim0815 Pillar of the Community United States 5239 Posts	Posted 12/27/2019 1:50 pm Going through some wheats I found this 1948 S LWC and cannot find a match on any of the three sites. I have come close but the mintmark is in the wrong position. the bottom right legs of the R in the words LIBERTY and TRUST are thicker than normal and the upturned bottom of the E tells me this could be a new class 6 DDO. Tanman2001 Pillar of the Community United States 4404 Posts	Posted 12/27/2019 3:37 pm I'd expect the extra thickness to show a bit stronger on IN GOD and LIBERTY. I do see some extra thickness on WE TRUST, but because of how minor it is and because it doesn't show up anywhere else, it might be too minor to list. Report this Post to the Staff
