Hello and
We will need to see clear photos of both sides of the coin so that we can judge what sort of error it is, and indeed whether the coin actually has an error or has been damaged since leaving the Mint.

Generally speaking, there is less interest in error coins in the UK than in the USA, so an error needs to be quite spectacular to add value to a coin. The standard Dictionary 50p is very common and worth only face value in circulated condition.

Welcome to the forum.

I too would like to see this. I echo NumisRob's caution. A lot of UK coins claimed to be errors are not. ebay is particularly bad for this. Almost everything that pops up when I search for decimal errors is just somebody trying to fleece me.

Please show pics, but dont be put off from coin collecting if it turns out to be nothing special.
