I hope the title covers this.

I have one lonely little coin that I need to get to CAC.

Well, there is a waiting list at CAC, as I am sure you all know.

My question, is there a submission center that people use and trust? Someone you would recommend?

Try a local coin shop. PM your general location and I can hook you up with one of the guys in the dealer network.

Guys, thank you so much for the PMs, for the offers to help.

Still looking for any suggestions.

As there's no actual submission centers and they don't do shows, you're basically left with three options. Wait it out for the waiting list and do it yourself, do it through another collector, or do it through a dealer. While dealers get charged for everything they send, this sounds like your best/quickest bet since if there was a collector you trusted enough I would assume you wouldn't be asking for suggestions. No sure what dealers you have a relationship with but basically every major dealer and many mid level dealers are members.

I would start asking any dealers that I had a relationship with or have used before about what it would cost to do it. Aside from that there's not really a lot of options unless you are selling and just had the auction house send it.

Thank you Basbal21

Yep, that about sums it up.

I am in a very rural area. There is a dealer that I can use, but they are an hour away. Still, that might be the way I go.

The waiting list, anyone have experience with it? Is it for real? Seems the company could publish an estimated wait time.

And no, I have no contacts in the forum. I had a few years ago, but have lost contact, or perhaps I have even forgotten. My memory is not my best asset at the moment. Wait, what were we talking about?

I am grasping at straws, hoping a better solution would come to light.

Unfortunately there isn't really one. The waiting list generally isn't to atrocious but I did it years ago so I dunno now. There are dealers you can send it to to send in but I'm not a fan of that either with random dealers especially when I don't even know the value of the coin.

Single coin won't be cheap to do it yourself, but I might just wait out the waiting list instead of driving at least an hour or sending it to a random dealer. Unfortunately there's not really going to be a magical solution in this case unless it's a super high value coin

It's not!

It's worth doing, but just barely.

Make sure you fill in everything on the application, including references before submitting it. It took a little under 3 months to get approved last year.
