Need Advice On 1996 Gold Panda MS-69 With A Scratch

triplelake New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 01/04/2020 03:17 am I recently paid $2500 for a 1996 gold panda NGC graded MS-69. I was disappointed upon receipt that there is a rather noticeable mark/nick/scratch at the 9 o'clock position close to the rim of the coin. (photo attached). Is this normal/acceptable for a MS-69 coin? Should I return it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Report this Post to the Staff

sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21788 Posts	Posted 01/04/2020 05:06 am At 69, the scratch shouldn't be there. The TPGrader has obviously missed it, we are all human, I guess. If you re-submit, they will almost certainly grade it down, and apologize for the mistake. What you do about this situation, is up to you, big money involved here. Report this Post to the Staff

If you don't like the coin, and it has a return privilege, then return it. IMHO keeping a coin that you're not really happy with has a way of continuing to eat away at you.
