Picked off this pleasant-looking AU in a roll of 1954-S with a number of nice coins in it. This die had a long and well-documented life as this one is Stage-I and not even the last die stage known. The S gets really funky-looking around this die stage but certainly one you won't miss.

Nice one! I actually just pulled an EDS one out of one of the rolls though in a lower grade.

Tropicalbats got another nice one. I was wondering where you are getting your coins from. So you buy uncirculated rolls?

While I do buy uncirculated rolls, I haven't picked up any wheat rolls for a while as they are expensive and I have far too much material here to get through it all soon. Generally I buy large collections when given the chance, and am currently mid-purchase on a collection of over 400 BU memorial rolls and recently bought over 500 rolls of wheats which may or may not be the whole collection.

It's not all uncirculated by any means, but generally enough of it is that I find some interesting coins and post a few of them. It is time consuming to post coins, but my goal is to help educate folks on what is a variety to show them know what to look for, since a lot of this board traffic consists of folks looking to learn.

Nice get, tropicalbats. Congrats...

That North distal S looks like a helmet for the completely structured S. Looks cool....

Very nice coin tropicalbats

I like the fields.

And the "S" looks like it is wearing a toupee.
