Found on a seller site, I did not bid. but I am trying to understand a few things.

I waited until the auction was concluded.

It is graded by PCGS.

Please play along, let me know what you think.

Sellers images, they are what they are.

I have it at MS64.
I am not good enough to talk about dipped or not, or die state.

If you're just looking for a grade, I'll agree at 64.

Well, seems I can't generate much excitement . . .

I suppose it is indeed a bit of a mundane coin.

This is my problem:

Fingerprint and all. I'm dumbfounded. Wouldn't give this a second look at 65. But it's in the holder, so good for you!

Not mine, I was surfing the interwebs for "67"s when I ran across it.

The gash across the nose is what catches my eye, Plus some smaller ones in the back of the hair.

Eagles left wing (your right) has a ding on the leading edge by the body.

A bit more than bag marks.

And that fingerprint is indeed epic.

Mysteries abound . . . .
Rest in Peace

If anyone needs to be convinced to "buy the coin, not the holder" just link them to this thread.

I've come to the conclusion that PCGS prefers to see toning rather than the surface color that the coins left the mint with also.

I had it at MS64 due to the fingerprints, strike, asymmetrical toning, scratches on the top of the right wing. I don't get it
