To identify which Mnt a RMTT came from can be a very complex, and depends on a wide variety of minor design detail variations.

One of the most important details to consider is the various minor details in the Saltire after the date.

Even when you are able to figure out from which Mint your RMTT may have came from, you have expended a considerable amount of effort in your endeavors to get to a satisfactory identification.

Because of the complexity of the identification problem, I bought a specialist booklet on the identification of RMTT's, but I gave up trying to use it as an exercise in futility.

Over 300 million RMTT's have been struck so far.
That makes them very common.

My RMTT example is in MS64 condition with good luster, and I would value it at no more than $25. It was probably struck in the 1950's, by The Royal Mint in London.

Nevertheless, quite a nice 'unknown' to have in your collection anyway.
In terms of World numismatic history, it is an important coin, even though it is almost certainly a re strike.
