Hi, I have this coin that I found some years ago.
Unknown-Middle-East-Coin-Maybe-Syrian?-|-1-Pound
It has an eagle with a shield in its chest with 3 stars. In it's tail has some leaves and holds with it's paws some type of flag. I think it's from Syria, but I'n not sure, those coins I found in the web had only 2 stars in the shield and some other had a different picture of the eagle but has the 3 stars. In the back has some number: 197^ (?) and a patterns like this

Can somebody help me and tell anything about this coin? If is necessary, I'll look a way to find better images of the coin

"197^" are Arabic numerals for "1968", which is the AD date for this coin - the four symbols on the other side (1387 in Arabic numerals) is the same date in the Islamic calendar.

Your coin is indeed Syrian, a 1 pound. Example on WorldCoinGallery.

Thank you for all your Help! I'm really glad that I found some answer. For a time I tought that was from Iran (because of the eagle and the stars): Thank again!

PS: I'm new in this site, but I have a little collection of coins. When I had the time, I'll post it to share with everyone
