Part of my wintertime research projects is to research some counterstamped coins in my collection...mainly to see if any can be attributed to a person/ business..etc
First one: basic info...silver with both sides smoothed off host coin, letter S P D stamped in, 4.00g, although not perfectly round diameter is 25mm best measurement
What I do know...found metal detecting a colonial site in Atlantic Canada of British origin dating roughly 1790s to 1830s thereabouts; I'm guessing it's a UK token but could be from anywhere
