Hello,

OK so if I wanted to start my commemorative coin collection with the Washington Half Dollar (1982) Proof, where and how could I find this?

Thanks,
Rich

RICH,

They are available just about everywhere coins are offered for sale and aren't too expensive. If you have a local coin dealer, start there first.

If folks are questioning my font size (no I'm not shouting) they haven't been following your posts.

Telesphere Numismatics is a good online dealer. I recommend doing some shopping around before making any purchases, but I've included a link to their Commemorative coins if you'd like to check them out. It looks like they do not have the 1982 Washington now, but they get some from time to time. (You can find a lot of these on ebay.)

The 1982 Washington had a very large mintage, so getting one for less than $10 should not be hard. You might even find one for around $5.

I'd also suggest looking online...

Here's a 1982 S George Washington Half

Certified by PCI as PR-68 (not a bad certification) for $12.50
