Im like a crow, with slightly better taste. I like shiney things

Im definitely in the "collect from circulation" category. Silver coins, of course. Foriegn coins that have mixed in. Star notes. Anything that looks a bit older. Or shinier. Or just interests me for some reason.

A cheap way into serious coin collecting:-
Collect everything of the best two best condition examples of every coin design and denomination out of your pocket change.
Lots of fun. If you have kids, have them join in!
Although I have been collecting all coins ancient to modern for perhaps 50 years, I have only started collecting best condition examples of every coin design out of pocket change, for the last few years.
Basically, an all denomination type set, including all commemoratives, that can be found in circulation.

Also, looking for minor error coins is quite popular here in the CCF.

Cost? - face value only!
