I have 2 1858 20 cent coins and am not sure how to grade them. both are bright but one has tell tail signs of whizzing a shame but none the less the other is a strikeing coin good luster and if I was to use my
ANA sandards book for barber quarters( closest match)i could give it either a xf to au-50. cansome one tell me about the strike and predominent wear spots. leaves are flat but the ear is strong. brade below is flat but isn't dull and is flat up to the "ponytail" witch is higher and the tail isn't dull. Dipped? maybe still a great set of coins any help would be greatly appreciated arent any "grey" collectors in my area to comairwith and am not able or cappable to sent photos at this time sorry thanks again coggie(jeff)
