My brother has 17 consecutive 2004 $20 bills and wants to know if there is any value more than just spending them. The bills start with EF 07476037 E so I don't think there is any serial number value. I'm more into coins so let me know if you think he should spend them of save them.

Thanks!

Sorry to say this, but those are only worth the face value as of now. Maybe in 20-50 years might there actually be a return on them, but then inflation would have made just spending the bills more worthwhile.

The 2004 series is the new colored one with the Marin-Snow signatures right?

Also, if he wants to collect notes, maybe he can go to the bank and ask for straps of $1s or $2s. I've found many rare and uncommon notes by "roll hunting," especially a VF quality silver certificate from 1957
