This is the same Provincial bronze I posted a few years back
At the time I was 90% sure it was Caligula or Julio-Claudian

Well I very quickly was enlightened (by CCF) to the fact that it is actually Hadrian
Good and well
I assumed that some detective work would eventually lead to a city in Asia
After 2 years I give up !

28.5-9mm 7.32 grams
Given the thin flan and the rather wide flan crack I believe it most likely an overstrike altho no evidence can be seen in the details

But what city is it ?
I honestly can't make heads nor tails out of the reverse legend

Yes of course ......
I knew that
Because you told me two years ago !
My senile old brain switched the names on me
and if I had bothered to find the original post ......
Well getting old stinks
But as they say it beats the alternative

I dug out the old post
Turns out I am not as brain drained as I had feared
Hadrian was the favored candidate back in May 2018
Well it did have some possibility
But problem solved
Many thanks to both
