The date popped out at me even in low magnafication, thickening of letters in Liberty with some separation lines showing on lower left of Liberty. Believe it is the 009? Love the fatties. Looks great next to the 1943 P FS-101.

That is a nice DDO. I agree with you on those thick paddles on the 9.
The E & U of WE TRUST is showing some love as well.

Given the number of things that can be found on a 1943-D, all are surprisingly hard to come by. Excellent find on a nice coin!
