I picked up the 1913 D thinking it may be a VF and the $100.00 price tag justifiable. The 1913 S was a hole filler I picked up for my folder,am I seeing a VG10? Look forward to your opinions. Total for both 217.00.

Boy, these are tough. Lots of horn but excessive wear on the rims. 13-S, VG-8 details, environmental damage/scratch. 13-D, VF reverse but I think the obverse is only Fine. F-15 would be my grade.

I'll say VF-20 on the '13-D and VG details (ED, scratched) on the '13-S.
Rest in Peace

The 13-D I agree to VF-20 . The 13-S is on the low end of VG-8 Details ,In my opinion you paid too much for a hole filler .

Thanks folks. On hindsight the $117.00 certainly would have been better spent towards a straight grade example in Fine with readable date. This nickel is the key, going on the cheap with it shows. The 13 D was listed as F15 by seller and am glad it appears to be in original condition.
