My name is Vincent. I'm from Northeast Pennsylvania. For the past many years, I've very casually collected US coins, but I'm turning 50 this year and want to construct a collection for my children that will be something for my kids to cherish and if need be sell of a profit. I know that coin collecting is very sensitive and it takes a certain graded coin / collection to matter.
I'm leaning toward collecting a uncirculated Jefferson Half dollar collection, BUT, I like American Silver Eagles as well! Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
Welcome Vincent. No doubt you children are grown. Why not ask their help? Show them a few coins and/or pictures of coins. See their response. No use to build a collection of Large Cents when their interest is Standing Liberty quarters. Your children will cherish nothing unless it is of a memory with dad and his coins!
