My name is Vincent. I'm from Northeast Pennsylvania. For the past many years, I've very casually collected US coins, but I'm turning 50 this year and want to construct a collection for my children that will be something for my kids to cherish and if need be sell of a profit. I know that coin collecting is very sensitive and it takes a certain graded coin / collection to matter.

I'm leaning toward collecting a uncirculated Jefferson Half dollar collection, BUT, I like American Silver Eagles as well! Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

to CCF. Half dollars are Kennady not Jefferson. Ask whatever questions you have and we will do our best to help.

Welcome Vincent.
No doubt you children are grown. Why not ask their help?
Show them a few coins and/or pictures of coins. See their response.
No use to build a collection of Large Cents when their interest
is Standing Liberty quarters.
Your children will cherish nothing unless it is of a memory
with dad and his coins!
