I have a 1937 $10.00 Note. It is Z/D 0491840 and is (BCS) AU50.
Are there premiums attached to notes like these or just the book value?

An interesting note to own.
I'm sure it would attract a premium.
That premium may be fleeting though.
It's the highest serial number reported, unlikely the highest number printed, when and if someone reports a higher number any premium is gone.

- I have a Gordon Towers Z/D change-over in aVF & (IMO) I honestly doubt you'd get much of a premium for that high number. It is still 8259 away from being an interesting number (like 049999) but the BCSAU50 is what would get my attention. I watched for that note for years and could never afford the higher grades and had to settle for the one I bought.

That's an awesome (lofty) grade for such a RARE note & I'm pretty sure it would attract a lot of attention. I have seldom seen the Z/D and Charlton's BV is probably quite conservative compared to FMV (so I would expect a higher price than the BV).
