Looks like a DDR to me. It's in the current spot for a Class 9 Doubled Die. There's currently no listed DDR's for the 2007 Montana State Quarters anywhere, so you can send it to John Wexler if you want. He might list it.

Hey I was just looking at these!

I found a coin with similar doubling a while ago and even listed it on my site. Then I found another, and another, and another...

Every Montana quarter I've seen has this slight doubling on the skull.

I'm thinking it might just be part of the design, but I haven't looked into it.

E&R, I debated sending it off, but with limited funds and better discoveries, I decided against it. Thanks!

Tan, I have noticed the same. This is the longest and best I have found for these. There could definitely be a bunch of them.
