It looks like a lamination error to me.

Might've, not might of. ;)

And lamination issue perhaps? My initial thought was simple damage, but the more I look at it, I'm not sure.

this poor coin is so beat up. the observe side is terrible condition but I saw this a thought I should show a pic of it
