Hi guys.. I just have a (hopefully) quick question. I have a 1939-D Walking Liberty half dollar that the D looks like it was struck twice - is that possible on a walker? If so, does anyone know of any references I could get or look at? thanks !

Not struck twice, but could be a re-punched mint mark. Common in the old days. references? Try Fox's book on Walkers.

Cherrypickers lists one RPM(CONECA RPM-001)- The secondary mintmark is evident north of the primary mintmark. Looking at the photo, it is a significant north shift with fully separated upper loops of D.

It is hard to tell, altho similar, it appears that yours is slightly different fro the one listed in CherryPickers'. The listed one appears to have a little more separation in the punches.
Still, very nice, and a great find.

Thanks TreasHunt.. I think I have a more up-to-date CherryPickers at home so I'll wait 'till I get there to see. I have no idea why I brought the one from 1993.. major 'duh' moment!

hey, I keep copies of every version of each book. I have all editions of Cherrypickers. And even all 4 copies/editions of Overton's. And complete sets of the Red Book, so, I guess that I am a book collector also. Nothing wrong with having extra, just wrong not to have enough.
