1971 D Washington Quarter Die Clash - Worth Grading?

SamCoin Pillar of the Community United States 3237 Posts	Posted 03/29/2020 2:05 pm I had actually just posted this on the grading forum when I realized the coin had significant die clashes on both the obverse and (mainly) reverse. A significant amount of Washington's profile is visible on the reverse, including his chin, ponytail, back-of-head-curls, and nose. Since the coin is also in really excellent condition, I wanted to ask if people here think it's worth having professionally graded and if a grading service would verify a die clash of this level or if I'd just get it back with a grade and no error designation. In order to justify all cost, it's has to be worth 150 dollars or more. Your coin isn't really worth anything. The Die Clash is too minor. Save it for now, but ditch it, when you find a much stronger example. Errers and Varietys. Report this Post to the Staff
