Hello,

How and where can I find out when new Proof sets and Commemorative coins are going to be released? I checked the U.S. Mint's website and found the 2009 release schedule but neither was listed. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Rich

The US Mint website is the best place to look. Generally, if a release date is not there, then a release date has not been set yet. The release list is updated throughout the year so it will look pretty short at the beginning of a year.
Rest in Peace

There are also actual release dates and official release dates. 2000 cents and dollars were available in 1999, and of course State Quarters were available MONTHS before the first strike ceremonies, in proof sets.
