Hi All,
Please take a look at the uploaded image of this 1909S Indian Head cent. I would appreciate any ideas as to how this coin developed such strange toning? Was it treated? Can this coin be restored by any of the grading companies such as NGC?

Thanks,
Sampson

Unfortunately, this coin appears to have been harshly cleaned before, and therefore restoration is impossible now, as the surfaces have been permanently altered

Try to take clearer photos. However, it does appear that this coin has been messed with to much.
